To investigate to influence of medication on the intensity and frequency of epileptic seizures, Prof. Raedt and his team study intra-cranial EEG (iEEG) signals of rat and mice.
The proposed machine learning solution should be able to automatically recognise and annotate epileptic seizures in iEEG signals to avoid time-consuming manual annotation work.
Prof. Raedt and his team prepare the data. The data consists of iEEG signals with annotated epileptic seizures within these signals.
IxorThink will develop a state-of-the-art software module that, post-factum, detects epileptic seizures. The module will be deployed using a Docker container on the UGent servers. The solution can be expanded to a real-time closed-loop system.
